These pipes are the by-pass air-bleed pipes for the idle system. You will see (among many other things) the Idle Control Valve and its connector plug protruding downwards fron the bottom of a circular 'manifold' which has four rubber pipes, one joined to each brach of the manifold with Oetiker or Jubilee clips. The quick way to tell (without finding someone in BMW who knows what they are talking about when it comes to build specs and that is not easy to do) is to whip the tank out and look up under the rear of the airbox with a mirror and torch. if you knock a hole in the plaster of your wall you fill the hole in(PC) you don’t replaster the whole wall with another 10mm of plaster just to fill the hole in(Booster plug)īut hey the early K’s are bordering on the banger class(mine included) so spending time/effort/money is always debatable.ĭave, the cheapest way without going down the refuelling gizmo route is to do the airbox and ICV mod if yours is still on the original design, unmodified one. Oh BM were incompetent (grossly) Brian already covered the air box upgrade and the reality the last 1300’s produced should have been the first K’s and R&D should have gone on from there, the 04/5/6 reg bike we’re both electrically and mechanically a horror show, things got better in 07/08 and they (BM) started to turn a corner in 09 and ultimately gave up which is a real shame because there is still a market out there or be it a small one.īlimey £650 for a PC i’ve Never paid anything like that and have 3 bikes with such, look for secondhand fit yourself just pay for a dyno run,the problem with the others they con the ECU into pumping more fuel into the engine regardless, best comparison I can think of. When was the bike registered? I’d assume at least 07 and a custom order when new with no ABS
